Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing

About Alahna

Alahna completed her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing in 2025 and has been part of the Glenhaven and Winston Hills family since 2019. Having been a client of the practice since the early 2010s, she developed a passion for animal care from a young age and always knew she wanted to pursue a career in the veterinary industry. Joining the team was a natural progression, allowing her to combine her lifelong love of animals with her professional interests.

Throughout her time in the veterinary industry, Alahna has developed a strong interest in surgical nursing, client care, and the administrative side of veterinary practice, enjoying the opportunity to support both patients and their owners.

Alahna’s greatest passion lies in wildlife nursing and rehabilitation. She is dedicated to helping injured and orphaned native wildlife recover and return to their natural environments, while also contributing to conservation efforts through her involvement with Taronga Zoo. In 2025, she completed Taronga Zoo Sydney’s Wildlife Care and Triage Course, further developing her skills to provide appropriate care and support for any wildlife patients that come through the clinic doors.

At home, Alahna shares her life with her two senior American Cocker Spaniels, who are very much part of the family and are both familiar faces at the clinic. Caring for their individual medication schedules and age-related needs has strengthened her appreciation for the special bond between pets and their owners and the importance of providing compassionate, personalised care.

Whether caring for beloved family pets or native wildlife, Alahna is committed to ensuring every animal receives the highest standard of care and attention.
