Teaching a puppy from an early age will result in a well-balanced, well-adjusted older dog. Puppies can learn toilet training, obedience and social boundaries from an early age. Most puppy pre-schools will only allow Pups to attend after their second vaccinations.
Puppy pre-school will also teach you positive learning techniques to apply when training your puppy. There is a training schedule to help you keep on track with the training. Puppy preschool training helps you:

  • Understand what is normal puppy behaviour and what isn’t
  • How to read your pup’s body language and appropriate responses
  • Techniques for positive reinforcement of desired behaviour
  • Why puppies need to be socialised
  • Tips for walking with your puppy in public space
  • How to teach your puppy lessons on certain things they should not do
  • How to teach your pup social skills when playing with other dogs
  • Develop a bond with your puppy

Spending time with your puppy and teaching them good behaviours will improve your relationship and make for a more rewarding life together. It is important to start early so that bad behaviour does not become a habit. Habits are a lot harder to break and will require a lot more intensive training if not nipped in the bud when dogs are still young. The sooner you enrol your puppy in pre-school classes, the easier the training will be for the long term.

Puppy Preschool

Puppies have a critical window for socialisation during 8 – 16 weeks and it is essential that puppy owners adequately socialise and train their puppy during this time. Everything a puppy experiences ( or doesn’t experience ) will contribute in shaping them as an adult dog and how they respond to their environment.  Puppy pre-school helps to build confidence, focus and a positive bond between puppies and their owners.  Our Puppy pre-school is run by certified dog and puppy trainers.
